On Wednesday 4th November 2015 5 staff and 66 very excited  Year 11 Drama students arrived at the Fortune Theatre , London , for their encounter with ....The Woman In Black!   They cast wary glances at every door and curtain on the way to their seats, checking for possible entrances of the Woman, but all to no avail. Whether seated in the stalls or Dress Circle, our students were immediately transfixed by the haunting tale, pausing only to scream or duck as alarming sound effects assailed their senses. As the plaintive tones of the victim's music box played towards the end, St Peter's emitted a collective shudder. Such was the impact of the performance that a crowd of students waited at the stage door to collect autographs from the actor. Debates raged among other students about whether what they had seen was a live performer or merely a clever visual effect... The return journey to Huntingdon was marked by gentle sighs of sleeping Year 11s and the occasional denial of " being scared". Many thanks to Miss Searle, Miss Zientek, Mr and Mrs Robson , and to the students for making this an excellent trip. In the words of a staff member from the Fortune Theatre " You lot were brilliant!".
