St Peter's School

Readathon Library Competiton

To encourage our students to keep reading for pleasure over the summer holidays, the library ran the Readathon competition.

To encourage our students to keep reading for pleasure over the summer holidays, the library ran the Readathon competition. Students were asked to read anything they wanted during the holidays and to keep a record of what they had read. Students read a variety of texts including magazines, fiction books, graphic novels and newspapers. Mrs Bond then collected the entries and the top 10 were asked to come to the library to discuss the books they had read. These students were then entered into a draw for the top 3 prizes.

Our congratulations go to the following students who won the top 3 prizes:
Vendija Graudina (Y8) was the overall winner and received a Kindle Fire.
Ellie Gilbert-Brown (Y8) was second and won a £50 Frankie and Benny's voucher.
Alfa Runnegar (Y10) was third and she receives a £20 Chiquito's voucher.

Many thanks to Luminus for donating the Kindle Fire, and to Frankie and Benny’s and Chiquitos for the vouchers.
