St Peter's School

St Peter's School Huntingdon – Post 16 Results Press Release August 2016

As the headteacher of St Peter’s I am primarily concerned with supporting the achievement of individual students.  This year students have continued to demonstrate both their academic and personal development through attaining the highest grades allowing them to secure places at prestigious universities such as Cambridge, Newcastle, Exeter and Sheffield.

Overall St Peter’s is celebrating its best post 16 results in over three years with both the pass rate for A levels and Vocational qualifications rising. This is highlighted by 53% of students achieving A*-C grades at A level and 90% achieving Distinction Star (the highest grade) in Vocational qualifications. Students have been particularly successful in the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language, Physical Education, and Performing Arts.

Two students achieved particularly outstanding results, one gaining four A*’s which are in Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry who is now moving onto study Conservation Biology and Ecology at Exeter University. The other student achieved two A*’s and two A grades and will now be studying Natural Sciences at Cambridge University.
