ICT and Computing

St Peter’s School offer ICT and Computer Science as core subjects in Key Stage 3 and optional subjects at GCSE and A-Level.

In Computer Science, students study programming skills, using languages including Scratch and Python. The subject also covers database design and system architecture. We offer OCR GCSE Computing as a Key Stage 4 option and AQA A-Level Computer Science as an A-Level option.

In ICT lessons, students learn digital literacy skills, including the use of Microsoft Applications. We offer Edexcel GCSE ICT as a Key Stage 4 option and BTEC Nationals (Level 3) ICT as an A-Level option. Alternative Provision Key Stage 4 students follow the Cambridge Nationals (Level 2) qualification.

    As the headteacher of St Peter’s School, I am proud of our students’ achievements who, supported by their parents and guided by our staff, have achieved the highest possible grade across a broad range of subjects.  This year students have continued to demonstrate both their academic and personal development through attaining the grades necessary to secure places at prestigious universities such as Durham, Birmingham, Loughborough, York and Nottingham.
