St Peter's School

Students and staff from Wadham College, Oxford visit St Peter's School

Students in years 8, 9 and 10 were lucky to be able to listen to a presentation delivered by Katie and her team from Wadham College, Oxford.

Students learnt about university life from the Outreach team from Wadham College. The interactive presentation tested students' perceptions of university and the different courses that they could choose from and the grades that they would need. Katie explained about university life, the different clubs and societies that they could join, and what studying at university is really like. Students also learnt about the finances attached to university and had the opportunity to ask first year students how they applied and what university is really like.

Wadham College's Outreach team want to break down boundaries and raise students' aspirations and this presentation certainly helped with this!

  • Uniform Statement

St Peter’s School has unashamedly high expectations of all students and members of staff. This is clearly demonstrated by our recent Ofsted inspection which noted significant improvements and judged us as being a ‘Good’ school. This was then further reinforced by our exam results this summer which were the highest the school has ever achieved and 66% of students achieved a Grade 4 or higher in both English and maths.
