Another excellent year of results for St Peter's
Once again we are delighted with the success of our students at both A-level and GCSE. 60% of our A-level students gained grades A*-C including nine of the new A* grades. Over 97% of the A-level results were graded A*-E. The vast majority of our A-level students gained their first choice University place and all applicants have been successful.
GCSE results have hit another record level. 70% of students gained five or more A*-C grades. We are also delighted that, for the first time, 100% of our Year 11 students gained at least one level 2 qualification. 95% of our students achieved 5 or more A*-G grades.
At St Peter's, we are very proud of all our students.
We have also heard that we have achieved the full International Award recognising our work with schools nationally and internationally.
St Peter’s amongst most improved schools.
We have been delighted to hear that the hard work of our students and staff over the last few years has been recognised nationally. The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust has named St Peter’s in their list of most improved schools in two categories:
- Schools with 5+ A*-C results improved year on year from 2006-2009 by 15 percentage points or more.
- Schools with 5+ A*-C results, including English and Maths, improved year on year from 2006 -2009 by 15 percentage points or more.

At St Peter's School every child does matter
It is our strong belief that as educators we can and must make a difference to the lives of the young people in our care. We work to ensure that the School enables its students to maximise their potential whatever their ability, background, culture, belief or disability.
We have high expectations and aspirations for all our students and we work to prepare them fully for the future beyond our school, recognising, nurturing and celebrating individual skills and talents. We provide a happy, caring, stable and orderly environment in which the highest quality of teaching, learning and development can take place.
We have a responsibility to develop confident, competent citizens of the 21st century in a totally inclusive environment. We develop skills to enable young people to make choices about their future.
We maintain a working partnership of co-operation between students, parents, staff, Governors and the wider community. At St Peter's both teaching and non-teaching staff work as a team to ensure that students are the priority and we aim to make every experience one of quality and wherever possible exciting and challenging.
